Access Services

We want all children to feel comfortable across the entire festival so every DreamBIG performance is welcoming. Auslan and Audio Description options are available. Please look for the icons on the event pages and contact us at the email address below about the show of interest. If you have specific needs for students, for any reason, please contact dreambig@adelaidefestivalcentre.com.au and put ‘Access Enquiry’ in the subject line. We can assist with program selection. There is something for everyone!

Adelaide Festival Centre Venue Access

Adelaide Festival Centre hosts a large number of DreamBIG performances and events. Throughout the Adelaide Riverbank redevelopment, access points to Adelaide Festival Centre may change. We will ensure your visit is as enjoyable and easy as possible by:

  • Emailing each school booker to advise specific access points for their booking and the venue(s) they will need to access
  • Stationing festival volunteers at access points to help guide you in the right direction
  • Ensuring clear signage is displayed at all venues and access points
  • Please note: there is no stair–free access to Artspace

Accommodation

Warradale Camp

If you are a regional school keen to attend the festival and require overnight accommodation we recommend Warradale Urban Camp. It is located near a train station which makes transport to and from city venues free. Visit urbancamp.sa.edu.au for more information.

Getting Here

Please note school students can travel free on trains, buses and trams between 9.30am and 3pm. However, if you need to travel earlier than 9.30am please inform Metro Adelaide and stagger the numbers travelling at any one time. For more information visit adelaidemetro.com.au. Any non-equity school that can’t use public transport and needs to use an alternative form of paid transport that would make their visit prohibitive can request equity price tickets to DreamBIG at the time of booking. Subject to availability.

School bus parking will be available during weekdays at the Torrens Parade Ground subject to limitations that might arise once the AFL fixtures are announced.

Travel Assistance

Any equity school that can’t access the train or tram, therefore making a visit prohibitive, can enquire at centrED@adelaidefestivalcentre.com.au for assistance. Title the email ‘Transport Assistance’.  Subject to availability.
